"The Books of I and I Kings, from the Old Testament in the Bible, yield some of the most phenomenal stories in human history. They are not only true historical sagas, but they also serve as warning signs for any society that has begun to decay morally and spiritually. In this study, we will delve into the lives of such prophets as Elijah and Elisha, Jeremiah, attacks on the nation of Israel from within and without, wicked monarchs such as Ahab and Jezebel, youngsters being anointed king, mighty kings such as Hezekiah and the Babylonian uprising that led to the collapse of Jerusalem and Judah. All these events took place between 931 and 587 B.C. The cast of characters is amazing and each one offers lessons for us today. "
